The District was formed in 2005 through the Land Conservation Committee and the Waushara County board which established the District under Wisconsin State Statute 33, Sub Chapter IV. The District is registered with the State of Wisconsin as ‘Fish Lake Management District.’ The District encompasses land owners of Fish Lake in Waushara County, Town of Hancock, and the Town of Deerfield, Wisconsin.
